GCSE Maths resits - network events (roadshows)


30th April - London (Southwark College, SE18LF)

2nd May - Sheffield (The Sheffield College, City Campus, Innovation Suite, Granville Road, Sheffield, S2 2RL)

7th May - Manchester (The Manchester College, near Victoria Station)

13th May - Birmingham - (BMet College, near New Street Station) 

All events run from 1pm to 4pm (with lunch 1 - 2 pm)

A series of roadshows is being held in April and May for teachers of GCSE Maths resit students to come together and hear from each other and organisations supporting improvements across the post-16 sector - at a location near you.

Following the massive success of the Centres for Excellence in Maths programme this provides an opportunity to hear about the work being taken forward. As well as meeting up with colleagues you can find out more about some of the opportunities there are for teachers in the sector and the support available.

Hear from the following at all locations

Mastering Maths - find out about this CfEM follow-on research study  run by the University of Nottingham (all locations)

NCETM - learn more about the post-16 Mastery Specialist Programme (all locations)

Pearson/Edexcel  - develop  insights into students' performance in the GCSE maths exams

ETF - find out about what follows the  Centres for Excellence in Maths programme 

MEI - find out about the FE Maths Challenge and their fully funded FE Professional Development programme (All locations)

...and of course an opportunity to meet with and learn from colleagues.
